Terms & Conditions
Last updated: September 2, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern any freelance web development project undertaken by Bhagyashri Chudji ("I", "me", "my") for a client ("you", "your"). By engaging my services — via WhatsApp, email, or this website's contact form — you agree to these Terms. Where a separate written proposal or contract exists for a specific project, that document takes precedence over anything below.
1. Scope of work
Every project starts with an agreed scope — covering deliverables, timeline, and cost — confirmed in writing (email or WhatsApp) before work begins. Work outside that agreed scope is treated as a change request and may involve additional time and cost, discussed with you before I proceed.
2. Payment terms
- Payment is split across agreed project milestones, set out at the start of each project — typically an initial payment to begin work, one or more payments as major phases are delivered, and a final payment on completion, before final handover of source code and deployment credentials.
- The exact milestone schedule and amounts are confirmed in writing (email or WhatsApp) before work begins, as part of the agreed scope.
- Once a milestone payment is made and work on that phase has begun, it is non-refundable. Should you cancel mid-project, work completed up to that point will be billed at the agreed rate.
3. Revisions
Each project includes a reasonable number of revision rounds, agreed at the start of the project. Requests significantly beyond the original scope, or received after final sign-off, may be billed separately as additional work.
4. Timelines
Estimated timelines are shared at the start of a project based on the agreed scope. Delays caused by late feedback, late content/asset delivery, or scope changes on your end may extend the delivery date accordingly.
5. Code ownership
Full ownership of the custom code written for your project transfers to you upon final payment. Any third-party libraries, frameworks, or paid tools used remain subject to their own respective licenses.
6. Third-party costs
Costs for hosting, domain registration, paid APIs, plugins, or other third-party services are your responsibility unless we've explicitly agreed otherwise in writing.
7. Confidentiality
Project details, business information, and any materials you share with me are treated as confidential and are not disclosed or published without your permission — including in portfolio case studies, where work is described in anonymized, non-identifying terms unless you agree otherwise.
8. Support after launch
A short post-launch support window for fixing defects introduced by the delivered work is included by default; ongoing maintenance, feature additions, or unrelated bug fixes beyond that window are billed separately, as agreed.
9. Limitation of liability
I aim to deliver reliable, well-tested work, but I am not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the delivered product. My total liability for any project is limited to the total fees paid for that project.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
11. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be sent to bhagyashri.chudji@gmail.com or via the contact page.
